We are in this together. There is too much beautiful, labor-intensive, self-giving, costly work to do. And the needs are everywhere.
We cannot be everywhere. And neither can you. But we can meaningfully lock arms together.
Prayer, resource sharing, finances, and releasing people to God’s design for them serves us all and is a Kingdom pattern. Each of us needs to stay true to the calling God has given us, in the field where He has placed us, with eyes of brotherhood to other laborers and fields.
We acknowledge that our livelihoods come through the generosity of the Church to individual Cru staff and our local ministry. Local churches and like-minded followers of Jesus make it possible. God ultimately is the source, but we receive much in this arrangement, and we are so indebted. We have such a stewardship. You have our pledge that we will not exist merely as an end to ourselves.
If you need help, or we need help, let’s ask one another. God moves when we ask. Partnership is an imaginative process that we have not “figured out,” and it would be very one-sided if we supplied all the answers. We are open to imagining with you.
If you would like to give…
There is a need.
There are 160,000+ students on over 18 campuses in Northeast Ohio. The numbers of those students meeting regularly for encouragement and growth in Jesus while fairly consistent over the years, is nevertheless very low, well under 2%, regardless of denomination.
Likewise, there is a precipitous decline when youth group attendance ends after high school. Something is happening in the college years that deconstructs students’ insufficient foundations. What happens to them?
But Jesus himself is indestructible. We are here to introduce and reintroduce to Jesus. And to continue to point back to him.
Through your generosity, we can love students on the path. Financial contributions go to provide an embodied Christian presence on campus, resources for teaching and learning, materials for evangelism and discipleship, supplies to promote community-building among the students and with partners, as well as basic operational needs like advertising and publicity.
Additionally, your gift could provide scholarship money for students to attend conferences like Fall Retreat or Cru Winter Conference, or Spring Break trips and Summer Mission Projects in the US and abroad. Often these experiences are graces on one’s journey and provide opportunities to learn through experience the joy of making one’s life available to Jesus. That’s the vision for every student.
